Quinta das Tecedeiras is located in the Cima-Corgo sub-region, in Ervedosa do Douro, São João da Pesqueira.
Located on the left bank of the Douro river, 5 miles from Pinhão near the “Roncão” bridge, it has a unique view of the Douro. It was previously inhabited by monks and nuns. In that time, linen was the most profitable product that, woven by nuns, guaranteed the community´s subsistence.
In this 66 ha property with 15 ha of vine there are 5 ha of 80 year old vineyards and 10 other with more than 20 years. This Classic Douro is obtained by 10 month-old stage in French oak of the Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinto Cão varieties. This wine is known for its colour, aroma and great nobility.
From the old vineyards and from the young vineyards, outstanding red wines are produced as well as the Vintage and the Late Bottled Vintage.
